The popular game of Kakuro, or Cross-sums, combines the fun of Sudoku with that of a crossword.

The dark blue squares on the grid consists of numbers, known as number clues that provide a hint for the "word" alongside or below. The aim is to fill the empty white squares with the digits 1 - 9 so that:

1. • No digit is repeated within the same "word"
   

2. • The sum of the digits in a horizontal word should be equal to the clue at the top right corner of the dark blue square immediately to the left of that word
   

3. • The sum of the digits in a vertical word should be equal to the clue at the bottom  left corner of the dark blue square immediately above that word
   

4. • All the white squares MUST be filled

Controls

1. • Tap the Next and Prev buttons to scroll through the available puzzles
   

2. • Tap Start to begin the displayed puzzle
   

3. • To enter a number, tap the desired square. A keypad will popup adjacent to the square. Press the desired number on this keypad.
   

4. • After entering all the numbers, press the Check button to check your solution. If the solution is correct, a confirmation message is displayed, else an incorrect entry is highlighted in red
   

5. • To return to the Main Menu, press the Exit button or use the Back Key on the device
   

6. • To view the solution to a puzzle, press the Solve button
